Handwriting

To me, simply looking at handwriting, it's like a work of art!

It was interesting to see a child's scrawling, the clear and neat handwriting of young students, the fancy, developed handwriting of adults and the shaky writing of an elderly person, not strong enough to control their hands... What was most notable was the individualistic nature of handwriting.

Also to be mentioned are the various scripts used around the world: Latin letters, Egyptian letters, Chinese letters... all were made in different ways whether they were carved on stone or written using brushes or the traditional pen and ink... It's not only artistic, but represents the development of humans, a cultural journey.

In this digital age, typing on keyboards have become standardised over writing by hand. It's so easy and convenient. Adding or deleting words can be done in only a few quick key strokes!... So many different typefaces are available to us: simple typefaces for information purposes or fancy typefaces for creative purposes. But still, typefaces cannot compare with the art of handwriting.

I chose to write my name in the simple art of handwriting as a way to represent myself, while elements of my name have been combined with shapes and colours to make my own logo.

Nét chữ viết tay

Đối với tôi chỉ nhìn chữ viết tay thôi đã là một bức tranh đầy tính nghệ thuật!

Thật thú vị khi nhìn ngắm nét chữ nguệch ngoạc của một em bé, nét chữ gãy gọn của một học sinh vừa mới tập viết và nét chữ lã lướt của một người đã viết lâu năm, hay nét chữ run run của một người già khi sức khỏe không còn đủ mạnh để điều khiển đôi tay của mình. Đó là cả một biểu hiện tự nhiên của một cá nhân.

Chưa kể khi được quan sát những mẫu tự của các ngôn ngữ khác nhau như chữ la tinh, chữ ai cập, chữ hán... với các bút pháp khắc lên đá hay dùng cọ hoặc viết chấm mực. Nó không những mang tính nghệ thuật mà còn nói lên sự phát triển của con người, một hành trình về văn hóa.

Ngày nay khi mà thời đại chữ số phát triển, người ta hầu hết đánh máy trên bàn phím thay vì viết tay. Thật là quá tiện dụng, lại có thể thêm vào hay xoá đi chỉ trong vài nút bấm!... Có rất nhiều mẫu chữ để chọn lựa: mẫu chữ đơn giản dùng cho những thông tin, bài dạy; mẫu chữ bay bướm cho những đề tài nghệ thuật. Nhưng vẫn không thể sánh bằng những nét chữ viết tay đầy tính nghệ thuật kia.

Tôi chọn viết lại tên mình như một bức tranh đơn giản nhất của chính tôi. Cộng với sự phối hợp màu sắc và hình thể để tạo thêm huy hiệu cho chính mình.
